NICVA is recruiting for a Policy Development Officer to contribute to NICVA's policy development work.

About NICVA
NICVA is the lead membership and representative body for the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland.  We support organisations ranging from grass roots community groups through to household name charities. We work across the public, private and voluntary community sector for positive social change.

Job role:
Along with other essential and desirable criteria, successful applicants will have:
1. Two years' working experience to include work in the following areas:
- provision of information and advice
- policy analysis and research
- preparation of publications/briefings
2. Experience of responding to policy consultations
3. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline eg. Social Policy, Research, Politics or similar OR three years' experience working in a similar field.

Status of the post: This is a fixed term role until March 2015 with the possibility of an extension to March 2016
Salary: NICVA salary scale G equivalent to NJC points 29 - 31 (£24,892 - £26,539 per annum). Candidates will normally be appointed at the start of the pay scale
