Lower Oldpark Community Association provides a Playgroup for children aged 2 years 10 months up to 4 years. We are based in North Belfast and are seeking to appoint a Playgroup Assistant (20 Hours per week) to support the team and Playgroup Manager.
As a Playgroup Assistant you will be required to work as part of a team to help plan and deliver children's programmes which are at the heart of our day-to-day operations. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of child development, the value of play and how young children learn. You will utilise appropriate methods of observation, following specific early years planning documents and implementing activities and experiences for children to support their development.
Applicants must have:-
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development or equivalent.
A minimum of two years pervious paid experience in an early years setting.
Duration: Initially for 6 Months (thereafter subject to funding).
Salary: 7.50 per hour.
The post is funded for a four month period, anything beyond this date is subject to future funding.
