Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a child care with level 3 NVQ qualifications
- Ensuring the delivery of safe play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
- Providing safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities. Preparing activities, organizing the programme etc
- Assisting the management and leading of a team of play-workers. (paid and unpaid)
- Carrying out day-to-day administration, record keeping, ordering and purchasing of materials and equipment
- Working within an agreed budget
- Ensuring that first aid is administered as appropriate
- Encouraging parental involvement and support within the project
- Assisting in the close liaison with parents, schools and play related agencies
- Attending meetings as appropriate
- Carrying out responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
- Working within agreed policies
Unsociable hours and some weekend work will be required.
Holidays 25 pro rata plus statutory days: Salary: NJC Grade 4 Point 18 £17,161
