Outreach - Early Intervention (Antenatal) & Male Support Worker - Newry City Sure Start Project

£8.79 per hour, 30 hours per week - (Fixed term – until 31.03.2015 may be extended subject to funding)

 Essential Criteria: 

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in an appropriate subject (E.g. Health & Social Care, Childcare, NCT Antenatal Diploma).
• Two years experience working with families experiencing deprivation.
• Access to transport.
• Experience of working with other agencies.
• Good knowledge of Early Years Provision.
• To hold or be willing to complete relevant programme facilitation training as identified by the project. (E.g. Antenatal Nurturing, Cook –it, Walk Leader).

Desirable Criteria

• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current Child Protection Certificate.

 A reserve list for these/similar positions will be compiled and retained for 6 months.
