The Outlook Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area. It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit an Outlook Project Worker to work in Children & Young People’s Services, Western Health & Social Care Trust.

The Outlook Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area. It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity.

 

The Outlook Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

 

Salary:              3 point incremental scale starting on £17,333

Hours:              37 hrs per week – Due to the nature of our work with young people, the Outlook Service is delivered over a 5 day period with the majority of service delivery taking place late afternoons and evenings.

Contract:          Permanent 

Location:          Western Health & Social Care Trust

 

Essential:                              

  • Basic qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Health & Social Care, Childcare
  • Minimum of 1 years paid experience of caring for or working with young people

OR

  • Basic qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Health & Social Care, Childcare
  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience of caring for or working with young people
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment.

 

*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who

to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the

requirements of the post in full.
