The Outlook Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area. It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity.

 

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Outlook Project Worker                                                     REF: 17/110/OPW/WEB

 

The Outlook Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area.  It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity.

 

The Outlook Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

 

Hours:                        37 Hours Per Week

(Due to the nature of our work with young people, the majority of the Outlook Service is delivered late afternoons, evenings and weekends).

Contract:                    Contract to March 2019 initially

Location:                    Southern Health& Social Care Trust 

Salary:                        3-point scale commencing on £18,070 per annum pro rata

 

Essential:                  

  • Basic qualification to NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent Health & Social Care, Youth & Community Work or related field

  • Minimum of 1 years paid experience providing support to young people

OR

  • Basic qualification to NVQ/QCF level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, Youth & Community Work or related field

  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience providing support to young people

     

  • Ability to work independently

  • Good organisational skills

  • Good communication & interpersonal skills

  • Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment

 

Desirable:                 

  • NISCC Registration

  • Experience & understanding of young disabled people

  • Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook

  • Experience of working with individuals with Challenging Behaviours

  • Awareness of RQIA & Domiciliary Regulations and Minimum Standards awareness
