Operations Manager

Key Tasks

People Management

 Ensure delivery of performance management and people development processes across the team.

• Ensure appropriate staff policies and procedures are in place and that all staff comply with these.
• Manage health and safety

 Business Management

 Adhere to the direction of the Strategic Plan, to create and implement an annual Operational plan with quarterly milestones and timescales, and complete associated risk management processes.

• Manage staff performance against the Operational plan, focusing on measuring outcomes and impact of the different funded programmes.
• Provide regular progress reports for the Director, and the Board Finance and Operations group
• Ensure compliance with all grant/funding requirements.
• Ensure effective communication internally, externally and across partnerships.

 Partnership

 Assist the Director in supporting Age Partnership Belfast and other inter-agency structures for engagement with older people to maintain the development of a co-ordinated approach across Belfast

• When required, represent Engage With Age on relevant external partnerships and meetings.

 Finance

 Assist the Director in managing  financial resources, maintaining budgetary control and  financial procedures for the organisation, in conjunction with the Finance and Operations group

• Support the implementation of a fundraising strategy ensuring sustainability of work programmes and the organisation

 Sharing Good practice

 Respond to media enquiries and representing EWA in the media as required.

• To work in co-operation and co-ordination with the Engage With Age team
