Salary: £24892 pro rata
Pension: 10% gross Duration - April 2015 with possible extension
Background:
The Northern Ireland Advice Services Consortium was established in 2012. Its membership consists of Advice NI, Citizens Advice and the Law Centre NI. Advice NI is currently the lead partner of the consortium until April 2015. The consortium is funded by the Department for Social Development under a contract to deliver a range of infrastructure support services to frontline advice agencies throughout Northern Ireland.
Role:
Your role will be to co-ordinate the activities of the consortium to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the objectives contained in the funding contract with the DSD. This will include taking responsibility for ensuring the quarterly project reports are collated from across the consortium partners and submitted on a timely basis to the DSD. You will also have responsibility for co-ordinating consortium meetings, taking minutes and ensuring the efficient administration of the consortium. You will report to Advice NI’s Head of Policy and from time to time directly to the Chief Executive of Advice NI
Duties:
Act as secretary to the consortium, arrange and attend meetings of the consortium and its subgroups which currently includes policy, IT, quality standards and training
Prepare and agree agendas and take minutes for consortium meetings
Liaise with other consortium members to organise external meetings and consortium events
Act as the main contact point for DSD and other government departments/agencies in relation to consortium business
Gather relevant information from consortium members and prepare, collate and submit quarterly progress reports to DSD
Assist with the preparation, collation and submission of agreed casework and training statistics from across consortium members in conjunction with the Heads of Training, IT and Policy
Assist Head of Training with updating the Joint NIASC Training Brochure, Training Framework and Minimum Training Requirements as required.
Assist the Head of Finance with financial reporting requirements in respect of budgets and financial returns to the DSD
Assist the consortium with the development of an outcome focused funding strategy
Promote the work of the NIASC to government, councils and other stakeholders
Produce and disseminate a quarterly news bulletin/factsheet and keep advisors and others up to date on consortium activities and events
Update web based information related to the consortiums activities/events etc
Assist with drafting of consortium reports/plans as necessary
Other duties:
- Attend relevant meetings and provide regular work reports.
- Attend training as necessary
- Ensure confidentiality at all times
