Fixed term contract until March 2015
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £15,489.96 - £17,386.36 per annum
Location: This post is in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area based in Ballyclare
The Community Bridge Builders for Older People, funded by the Big Lottery, will focus on supporting people to reduce their isolation, to become more involved with their local community and as a result become more independent and self-directing.
The different components of the service are – providing information and signposting; mental health promotion; self-help; volunteering; and forming a network of opportunities to engage with and create pathways which will help people move on.
Essential Criteria:
Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 6 months experience of providing support to people with a mental illness either in a paid or voluntary position or as a carer with significant caring responsibilities.
OR
Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year’s experience of providing support in a paid or voluntary capacity in another formal care setting or as a carer with significant caring responsibilities.
• Able to demonstrate good written communication skills
