Macmillan Partnership Manager - Northern Ireland (4027)

Macmillan Cancer Support

From 42000 To 47000

Have you ever considered what you could offer the charitable sector? Do you want to demonstrate how you could effectively transfer your expert knowledge of the UK healthcare system to benefit individuals impacted by cancer?

The role:
Cancer care is changing and this is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. These new roles have been developed in response to Macmillan’s ambition to influence and improve cancer services across the UK and make sure that we are well placed to increase our impact, and support our partners across health and social care with relevant expertise, skills and investment. Reporting to the Strategic Partnership Manager you will be responsible for the implementation of the geographic operational plan for your patch. You will be the key link and coordinator of key relationships and strategic health partnership networks at a local level.

In this role you will be responsible for the co-ordination of Macmillan’s strategic and operational relationships with partners and act as their main point of contact. Your role will support and guide partner organisations to develop new proposals and continuously improve the quality of existing cancer services (both Macmillan and non Macmillan). You will use your management and leadership skills to manage, develop, coach and support a team of Quality Leads to continuously implement and improve the quality of existing and new cancer services both Macmillan and non Macmillan.

The person:
Working collaboratively is vitally important to Macmillan so you will need to have experience of collaboration and working in partnership across the UK Health and Social Care Sector (including negotiation and management of key partnerships and contracts), relationship management and matrix working, influencing, analysing data and a focus on delivering outcomes as well as managing budgets through the grant system. This is your chance to have a real influence and impact by playing a key role in the enhancement and development of cancer services and ultimately help more people feel supported, informed and more able to cope.

In return for your commitment, Macmillan will actively develop your skills and experience whilst providing opportunity for continued growth within the broader organisation, if you desire. Furthermore, if you are currently making contributions to the NHS Pension Scheme, Macmillan will honour this and offer the opportunity for you to remain doing so. Other benefits include BUPA membership, life assurance, childcare vouchers and generous leave.

Process:
There will be initial telephone interviews held w/c 31st October. For those successful, interviews will be held early November.
