Learning Officer (temporary nine months)

To support the delivery of our work, we are seeking a Learning Officer on a fixed-term basis until 31st October 2012 to plan, co-ordinate and ensure the delivery of the training, education and professional development aspects of our work plan.

CIH is the leading awarding organisation for housing qualifications in the UK. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality, relevant and up-to-date qualifications for everyone in housing.

Responsibilities include:  ensuring the delivery of a marketed/in-house training programmes and bespoke training courses to meet the needs of the housing and related communities in NI;  To manage and update processes to identify the training needs of customers and potential customers;  To monitor the quality and effectiveness of training courses and ensure continuous improvement;  To promote and ensure the delivery of CIH accredited education courses in NI; and promoting professional development in the housing and related sectors in NI, including supporting individuals and organisations.

 Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:  Understanding of learning and development, skills in product or service development, skills in strategic and project planning and project management, excellent communication skills, both in writing and orally, networking and negotiating skills, promotional skills, experience of partnership working and good time- management skills.
