This Officer will work on behalf of the Mourne Mountain Kingdom Landscape Partnership to project manage and develop a Landscape Partnership Scheme (LPS) for the Mourne Mountains Landscape Character Area and to complete an application for Round II of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Landscape Partnership Programme. He / she will work proactively with and coordinate a range of stakeholders to prepare a Landscape Conservation Action Plan (LCAP), including a detailed four year work programme, for submission to Heritage Lottery Fund.
Applicants must have:
- either a third level qualification in a directly relevant subject (e.g. environmental / earth sciences, countryside management, cultural landscapes, geography, agriculture, planning etc.) and at least two year's experience in a relevant role or at least four years experience in a relevant role.
- Experience and knowledge of natural and cultural heritage and rural affairs; strong research; partnership building and communication skills; and ability to develop, plan and administer projects in a landscape related context.
This position is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Mourne Mountain Kingdom Landscape Partnership.
An extension to the post many be possible dependent on funding after this period.
