Housing Officer Manager

Homecare Independent Living

As a Housing Office Manager, you will report to the Housing Manager and be responsible for Homecare Independent Living Housing operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.

MAIN DUTIES AND TASKS

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Maintains office services by organising housing operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring housing functions.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, both office & field based; following up on work results.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analysing reports; summarizing information; identifying trends
  • Maintains housing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains office staff job results by setting KPIs, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

 Other Duties:

  • To undertake all relevant staff training as required.
  • To carry out any other duties as specified by the Housing Manager or Chief Operating Officer.
