Job Purpose
To provide an enhanced befriending service including the provision of personal care and a night sitting service to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their informal care givers with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 1 years paid experience in a health and social care setting
Relevant qualification eg. QCF Level 2/3 in Care or equivalent
Experience of working with people with dementia
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours
Access to transport that would enable the post holder to carry out the duties of the post
Desirable Criteria
GCSE (or equivalent) standard of education
Completed dementia awareness training
