Action on Hearing Loss NI seeks passionate, organised people to deliver our flagship “Hear to Help” service across the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust. Hear to Help volunteers deliver information, support and hearing aid maintenance to people who are deaf or who have a hearing loss. Successful candidates will demonstrate a real passion for the cause and an understanding of hearing loss and related issues. You’ll need to bring an understanding of best practice in terms of volunteer policies and procedures in order to help us to attract, train and support volunteers to deliver the service, as well as experience of working directly with volunteers. As a Coordinator, you’ll also need staff management experience and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
You’ll assist us to attract, train and support volunteers who will work alongside you in the development and delivery of the Hear to Help Service. You will work in partnership with local community and statutory groups to promote, develop and deliver the service.
You’ll need access to your own transport to be able to carry out duties of the job.
