'Grow the forest' is a Big Lottery funded: Reaching out and empowering young people programme. This unique project aims to reach young people at risk in the surrounding communities of the forest park and connect them with positive life opportunities.
The post of Health and wellbeing officer (37hrs pw) secured until June 2016 (with possibility of further extension) will be responsible to the programmes manager. The post holder will be required to engage with the target group, and develop and support the young people with the delivery of engaging and life changing programmes aimed at developing young people through physical and mental health and wellbeing prrogrammes, whilst keeping effective monitoring and evaluation reports. The post holder will be supported by and work within an extended team of youth work professionals.
