We are looking for a competent and skilled person to take up the position of Head of Practice and Quality for Autism Initiatives Northern Ireland.

We are looking for a competent and skilled person to take up the position of Head of Practice and Quality for Autism Initiatives Northern Ireland.

You must have excellent leadership skills, the ability to train co-workers in specialist skills such as Positive Behaviour Support and other practice areas.  You should also be skilled and proficient in monitoring practice and offering advice and leadership on quality improvement. 

 

Head of Practice and Quality

Hours/Contract:                   40 hours per week, permanent.                                 

Work time:                            Monday to Friday 09.00am to 5.00pm.  There will be a requirement for flexibility. 

Remuneration:                     Will be commensurate with working knowledge and qualifications.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • A Degree (BSc/BA) or Higher Degree in Autism or related i.e. clinical practice, health science, psychology, education, sociology or relevant area.
  • A professional qualification i.e. Nursing, Social Work, Clinical Psychology or other relevant health, social care or education professional qualification.
  • Proven experience as practice leader or equivalent in services for people with autism or related conditions.
  • Ability to teach and educate staff in intricate autism specific person-centred approaches.
  • Aptitude in reflective approaches and decision making.
  • Competent excellent knowledge in quality monitoring and improvement of autism or related services.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory regulations related to health and social care. 
  • Proficient in measuring service outcomes using appropriate tools and computer systems and proficient in Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Excellent and effective communication and people skills (written and verbal/relational).
