Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) is a registered charity set up to establish a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service in Northern Ireland which could save up to 50 lives a year and may improve outcomes of up to 300 patients.

Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) is a registered charity set up to establish a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service in Northern Ireland which could save up to 50 lives a year and may improve outcomes of up to 300 patients.  With a population of 1.8m people in a region which covers 14,000 sq kilometres with a unique costal and geographical environment, Northern Ireland is the only region in the UK and Ireland not previously serviced by an air ambulance. 

With the establishment of this vital new service now a reality after years of campaigning, AANI are now seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Fundraising.  The successful candidate who will take lead responsibility for the development and execution of the Charity’s fundraising strategy that must raise in excess of >£2m each year via a broad range of fundraising approaches while helping AANI become the charity of choice when it comes to saving lives of people in Northern Ireland.

The Head of Fundraising must bring a detailed understanding of the fundraising mix, have the ability to create ambitious and meaningful fundraising campaigns that communities can actively get behind while cultivating relationships with donors, corporates, foundations and other targets.

You must demonstrate considerable innovation and creativity in your approach to the fundraising strategy and possess the necessary drive, energy and enthusiasm that will engage and mobilise broad ranging support for the amazing work that the charity undertakes.

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in a significant fundraising role with clear evidence of sustainable success. You will have strong people management skills and will thrive within a target driven and results orientated environment and have instant credibility when engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, key decision makers and community volunteers.
