NICVA, the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action, is a membership and representative umbrella body for the entire voluntary and community sector of Northern Ireland. NICVA’s mission is to achieve progressive social change by tackling disadvantage through voluntary action and community development.
NICVA has an exciting opportunity for a Governance and Charity Advice Support Officer who will assist in carrying out the governance support package for organisations on NICVA’s Community Leadership Programme.
The post holder will also assist in the delivery of specialist governance and charity advice to voluntary and community organisations, including the provision of advice, training and the drafting of governing documents.
Applicants must demonstrate two years’ experience and working knowledge of the legal and regulatory obligations of governing documents, legal structures, charitable status, committee responsibilities and procedures.
Applicants must also have an extensive working knowledge and experience of governance within community development organisations and the wider voluntary and community sector.
