FUNDRAISING, PR & EVENTS OFFICER

Location:           Dry Arch Children’s Centres, Dungiven

Hours of Work:           37.5 hours per week (Temporary 18 month contract)

Salary:                NJC Point 24-25 Scale 5 (£22,000 per annum)

The Role: Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Fundraising, PR and Events Officer to join our team. For this new position the Fundraising, PR and Events Officer will be responsible for supporting the running of The Dry Arch Children’s Centres Ltd fundraising systems and strategies ensuring long term sustainability. To run events and to promote services across the business, maintaining social media channels.

Fundraising

Identifying and accessing sources of funding to include European and Government funding for charitable organisations, managing funding applications, completing follow up evaluation and reporting and assisting with the planning and preparation of budget for specific funding applications in conjunction with the Finance Department.

PR

Managing and developing our social media platforms to engage and influence customers, including updating Facebook, Twitter and Dry Arch website.

Events

Project managing, organising and delivering a series of events for The Dry Arch Children’s Centres Ltd, including family fun days and Sure Start programmes

Essential Criteria:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of working in events/ communications role
• Proven experience in the management and maintenance of social media platforms
• Proven track record of successful applications for funding from grant making bodies to include Government departments
• Experience of developing and implementing promotional plans and material
