Start360 is recruiting a Fundraising Assistant Manager on a full-time basis. This post will be based in the Belfast Head Office.

Base:                                      Belfast
Contract:                               One year fixed-term contract, with scope for extension
Hours:                                    Full time (37 hours per week)
Salary:                                   NJC Points 29 – 31 (£25,951 – £27,668)

 

Main Responsibilities

GENERAL FUNDRAISING

  • Contribute to and deliver against annual budgets, targets and plans, and produce reports on same
  • Develop and implement an organisation-specific fundraising strategy and action plan
  • Develop fundraising activity through payroll giving and donations in lieu
  • Assist with cheque presentations
  • Manage specific fundraising appeals
  • Assist in the organisation and development of legacy fundraising
  • Administrative duties relating to all areas of fundraising

EVENTS

  • Design, promote and run a calendar of fundraising events
  • Seek opportunities and ideas for new types of events and new event partners
  • Support our corporate partners to run fundraising events on Start360’s behalf

DIGITAL

  • Manage Start360’s fundraising platforms
  • Increase online fundraising through our new website
  • Increase online fundraising through our social media channels
  • Design and deliver crowdfunding campaigns
  • Promote all fundraising activities of Start360 through the website and social media

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Identify and write corporate fundraising applications eg ‘charity of the year’ applications
  • Identify tenders, grants and other funding opportunities to be taken forward in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Develop new corporate partners and identify untapped resources

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Play a leading role in Start360’s FUNraising committee and innovation hub
  • Contribute to a change in organisational culture
  • Train and develop staff members in fundraising skills
  • Assist all staff to identify and carry out fundraising activities, to ensure that all fundraising opportunities are identified and availed of

OTHER

  • Carry out other responsibilities that may be required, as commensurate with the post
