Job Placement with PIPS Newry & Mourne (Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm) we are currently looking for a Fundraiser / funding Coordinator under the Youth Employment Scheme (Y.E.S.)
If you are unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 24 years of age, the Youth Employment Scheme (YES) can help you develop the skills and gain the experience you need to get a jobPIPS Newry & Mourne are currently recruiting for a Fundraising / Funding Coordinator to join our team in PIPS Newry & Mourne. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for independently conducting the day-to-day operational management and implementation of all activities pertaining to fund development, grant funding and fundraising and work closely with other staff members
Your Duties and Responsibilities
The general hours of work will be 10am - 4pm, Mon - Fri, but due to the flexibility of fundraising the job will require the candidate to be available to work flexible hours including evenings & weekends when required, i.e. for meetings and to attend fundraising events, cheque presentations etc
The Coordinator will help obtain funding by drafting, editing, and preparing grant applications for submission. This also includes compiling program related reports and submitting them in a timely manner.
Identify new fundraising opportunities through existing and created contacts within the community
Build relationships with local and regional businesses and causes in your community
Coordinate volunteers
Your Skills and Experience
Ability to independently initiate projects and activities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as negotiation skills.
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Full driving lience & Car owner or have full access to a car ( essiential) for mobility and flexibility
Knowledge of computers and Word, Excel, Power Point, .
Knowledge of developing a fundraising plan.
Attentive to details.
