BELONG is a family support programme which aims to improve outcomes for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) children and young people aged 7 - 12 years. BELONG is a partnership project which delivers programmes across the Southern Health and Social Services Board area. STEP is the anchor organisation to the partnership and we wish to employ the following staff who will be tasked with the delivery of the agreed programme. Postholders will be required to work throughout the Southern Area but will be based primarily in Newry.
Post 1: Full Time Education Support Worker This post is funded until 31 March 2013
Experience & Qualifications
• Third level qualification in a related discipline
• At least 2 years experience within the past six years delivering school-based education OR out-of-school hours learning OR designing other educational tools and programmes for Primary School aged children
• At least 1 years project management/project lead experience
Post 2: Maternity Cover - Full Time Project Development Worker. Maternity cover for 7 months
Experience & Qualifications
• Third level qualification and at least 1 years experience in Community Development Work in the context of children OR 3 years Community Development Work in the context of children
• At least 1 years experience of working directly with children, organising activities and events
• Proven delivery of projects against set targets and specific timescales
• Experience in planning, organising and completing activities including monitoring and project evaluation.
Salary: £23,800 + 3% pension contribution
