NICRAS is currently looking for a self-employed Finance practitioner to carry out book keeping, financial management and completion of financial returns to relevant funders until the end of March.

The organisation is a small voluntary sector organisation supporting Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Northern Ireland. The organisation employs 3-4 members of staff and receives funding for staff from The Executive Office and Children in Need.  Funding is also regularly secured from small funders for project work.

This particular piece of work would involve, 8 hours per week working from the NICRAS office, on a self-employed basis on the following tasks as required.

  • Maintaining income and expenditure ledgers and financial records
  • Monthly Bank reconciliations
  • Production of monthly finance reports for the management committee
  • Preparation of payments for expenditure
  • Ensuring payment of salaries (SAGE payroll), suppliers, etc
  • Lodgement of income
  • Online payment of Pensions and HMRC
  • Liaising with funders
  • Preparing information for the end of year accounts
  • Preparation of financial returns and claims to funders
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets for funding applications.
