Finance Officer (Maternity Cover 1 year with the potential for permanency) Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated, although there will be a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week. Office opening hours are 8am-6pm.

We want to appoint a Finance Officer who will work as part of a busy, highly focused and professional team providing accurate financial administration, excellent customer service, advice, guidance and query resolution to the organisation and its clients. They will require good organisational skills and the ability to work with figures and check details for accuracy.

Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated, although there will be a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week.

 

The successful applicant must have:

  • A minumum or 5 GCSEs Grade C or above including Maths and English.
  • A minimum of 2 years paid work experience, gained during the last 5 years, of financial administration, including bank and cash reconciliations, credit control to include a minimum of one year’s experience of direct customer service, either face to face or by telephone.
  • Good working knowledge of a computerised accounting package which uses nominal ledger, sales and purchase ledger invoice processing. Extensive use of Microsoft Excel, web based systems, internet, email, databases and word processing (evidence will be required at interview stage).
  • Good organisational skills including ability to prioritise workload and work to strict deadlines.
  • Good administration skills including ability to maintain and update records and files.
  • Ability to work with figures and check details for accuracy.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and on own initiative.
  • Ability to build good working relationships.
  • Ability to work flexible hours within a rota, normally between 8am – 6pm.
  • Ability to travel throughout NI at times demanded by the job.
