Finance Officer, The Beat Initiative

Finance Officer, Beat Carnival Centre, Boyd Street, Belfast. Permanent post dependent on continued funding, 22 hours per week (preferred work pattern 5 days per week) but open to discussion with postholder. Salary -£19,621 (pro rata) NJC Scale 5

The post holder will provide a comprehensive financial and book-keeping service to the organisation, including the monitoring of funding, production of regular management accounts and reports, income and expenditure management and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

1. A minimum of three years relevant work experience to include:

  • Financial monitoring and reporting of funding income
  • Cash flow preparation ,reporting and drafting of annual accounts
  • Book-keeping and Payroll

2. Computer literate with experience of using MS Office, Internet and email facilities and Sage line 50.

3. Experience of interpreting complex information and compiling reports for funders and management committee

4. Driving licence and access to a car or access to an alternative form of transport to meet the travel requirements of the job 

  Desirable Criteria:

  1. A relevant book-keeping or accountancy qualification
