Home-Start Lisburn/Colin supports families with young children who are facing challenging situations. The scheme offers weekly volunteer support in the home, weekly Family Group and Courses (Incredible Years, Cook It and Mini Mend.)
Family Support Co-ordinator - Maternity Leave
29 hours per week - job share considered
NJC Scale 22, £20,611 (pro rata) - £10.71 per hour.
Closing date Tuesday 29th August, 12 noon. Provisional date for interviews Monday 11th September 2017.
The Family Support Co-ordinator will receive referrals and visit families to complete an initial assessment. They will then introduce families to the appropriate service, review support at regular intervals and liaise with referrers. The post holder will recruit and support volunteers in their role and provide initial and on-going training opportunities. Support will be input onto the Home-Start monitoring and evaluation system.
The Family Support Co-ordinator will work to Home-Start policies and procedures and implement good safeguarding practice in all areas of work. They will maintain high standards of practice in supporting families within the Home-Start model and ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of the scheme's work.
The Family Support Co-ordinator will undertake work as delegated by the senior member of staff to support the strategic management, development and future funding of the scheme.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Access NI Check.
