Volunteer to offer our valuable First Aid service at events
This is an amazing opportunity to learn and provide first aid, occasionally life-saving, services to those who need help at public events and to support the ambulance service in accordance with current first aid practice.
Typical tasks include
> Helping other members of the team set up and dismantle first aid posts
> Providing first-aid care in line with current protocols and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
> Completing all paperwork associated with first aid delivery
> Using communication equipment, if required, in accordance with the radio licence and British Red Cross guidelines, and keeping appropriate records of use

Young People and this role
We value the energy and enthusiasm that young people bring to this role. To volunteer for this role you must be aged 16+. However (subject to a risk assessment, safeguarding requirements and parental consent) those aged 15 can be involved in a variety of activities such as promoting the service, supporting service volunteers and undertaking training.
