Oasis Antrim are recruiting freelance tutors to teach Numeracy, Literacy & ICT

To allow us to meet the ongoing demand for our courses, Oasis Antrim are seeking applications from self-employed tutors who would like to join their tutor bank with a view to predominantly teaching Numeracy, Literacy, ICT

Working from our Antrim office, they will carry out initial assessments and the design & delivery of courses in a manner that engages young people on the Project. 

For the right person, we are offering the following:

• £25 per hour (contact time only)

•The opportunity to get involved in shaping and delivering courses

As a minimum tutors are required to have QUB Diploma in the Teaching and Management of Numeracy/Literacy/ICT/Essential Skills/, or a teaching qualification acceptable in NI & in accordance with DEL Essential Skills Tutor Education policy ES01/12, Revised April 2012.

They should also be confident to write a scheme of work and lesson plans using awarding organisation’s criteria. They must also be confident with administration tasks and self-disciplined to ensure deadlines are met and ensure the Project Manager is kept updated on progress, attendance etc.
