Enterprise Development Coordinator (Freelance Opportunity)

We are a youth arts charity, since 1995 we have been working together with young people and community all across Northern Ireland. We exist to forge new creative and inclusive spaces that empower and inspire individuals to express what matters to them.

WheelWorks (WW) is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to join our professional and creative team. The role will include supporting the ongoing strategic development of the charity as it grows to develop its social enterprise.

WheelWorks social enterprise programme ‘The Art of Creative Thinking’, offers a number of creative and innovative services in the market place and these are;

  • The Art of Creative Training
  • The Art of Creative Facilitation
  • The Art of Creative Hires

This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starter, passionate individual who will share our vision to forge new creative and inclusive spaces that inspire and empower individuals to express what matters to them.

The applicant will be responsible for development, coordination and delivery of WW ‘The Art of Creative Thinking’ social enterprise programme. To foster innovative new opportunities and secure sustainable income for the organisation. He/She will contribute to marketing, publicity, report writing, achieving targets, maintaining budgets and operational tasks as appropriate.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with one or more of the following skills and/or experience: Business and Project Development, Marketing, Branding, Social Media, Income generation and fundraising.

Applicants must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, creative,  savvy  in new digital technology, social media proficient, confident and outgoing, with a can do attitude. 

The position is on a freelance basis, part time 1 to 2 days a week and initially for 6 months, hourly rate £12.50. The application process requires the submission of a full CV by the 19th of October 2017, followed by selection for interview and if successful then appointment to the position.
