Employment Officer – Employment Service
37 hours per week
Under the direction of the Employment Manager the Employment Officer will assist in developing the employability of people with learning disabilities and moderate learning difficulties.
The Employment Officer will assist in the development of the clients through work placements and providing support tailored to their needs, and will assist them to enter paid employment. They will be responsible for meeting targets, both monthly and annually.
The Employment Officer will also market the employment service to all relevant parties and stakeholders, and carry out all other duties delegated by the Employment Manager.
> Demonstrate experience and knowledge of how to support people with a learning disabilities in a work setting
> Good communication and presentation skills
> Experience in working and liaising with employers in the local business community
> Understanding of the issues and the barriers related to employment and disability
> Current driving licence
> Access to a car
> Foundation Diploma in Supported Employment
