Lead the Development Team in meeting related training, placement and employability objectives. To manage the recruitment of service users and ensure that their placement into the project and successful outcome (employment) targets are met by the project.

EXTERN is a large charity which helps to improve the lives of children and adults facing challenging circumstances and makes communities safer across the island of Ireland.

We work in partnership with a variety of organisations including housing, criminal justice, heath, social services, education, employment and voluntary and community sectors to deliver a range of services.

EXTERN Works offers employability skills training and support services to individuals from a range of disadvantaged backgrounds including people who are homeless, ex-offenders, and people with mental health issues and individuals with learning difficulties.

This service provides a range of vocational, soft skills and personal training to adults who are unable to access mainstream provision due to their homelessness, poor mental health or offending behaviour.

Specifically, EXTERN Works provides training for adults who are homeless and who are trying to find accommodation and people who are nearing the end of their prison sentences or who have already been released from prison and are being rehabilitated.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

 

Employability Skills Manager

(Job Ref No: SC815/04/16)

Salary: Grade 6 (£27,316 per annum)

Location: Trench Road, Mallusk and other EXTERN Works locations as required

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (including paid breaks)

Contract Status: Continuous, subject to funding until 31st March 2018
