Early Years Cook

To work in conjunction with the Children’s Services Manager, the designated supervisor and other key members to plan, prepare and evaluate a nutritious menu.

The cook will be tasked with a wide array of duties, including budgeting for and purchasing of food and cooking supplies, maintain a clean and sanitary facility, ensuring safe food storage and disposal, planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks to develop, implement and evaluate a healthy menu and to oversee kitchen operations.

Essential Elements

• Level 2 catering

• Level 2 English and Maths

• Basic food and hygiene

• Competent computer skills

• 2 years working as a cook.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to work as part of a team.
