Development Officer, Mental Health & Learning Disability Alliance/Policy Officer (Mental Health)

Successful applicant will undertake mental health policy work and lead the development of the Mental Health & Learning Disability Alliance (convened by the Law Centre) to work collaboratively for the development of progressive mental capacity legislation

Ref number: DO-PO O7/12. 24 hours per week. Based in Belfast.

This is a temporary post for up to 12 months.

Salary: £27,849-£30,011 (pro rata) NJC Points:  33-36.

A minimum of two years’ experience of policy work, including lobbying and campaigning, is required.  Experience of writing policy papers, working with the media, knowledge of social justice issues, mental health or learning disability law and policy and the workings of parliamentary bodies is essential.
