We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Deputy Manager for our Belfast services. **Previous applicants need not apply**

35 hours per week. Applicants will need to be flexible as there will be shift work and you will have to work some weekends. You will be based at a particular service but will may to assist other services in the Belfast area.

Belfast Services is currently made up of 3 units with staff on-site across the services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver care and support to the tenants using them.

  1. Taylor/Cheshire House is a supported Living service for 22 adults with disabilities - you will primarily be based here
  2. The Maples is a sheltered/supported living service of 31 self-contained flats for adults with disabilities.
  3. Springfield Court is a supported Living service for 10 adults with disabilities.

Applicants must have QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care and demonstrate a willingness to obtain QCF Level 5 in Adults Social Care Management as well as undertake any training that is required (including updates). Experience of being a Team Leader or above is essential.

About the role

Supporting the Service Manager in the day to day operation of the service, you will deputise as directed in their absence and be responsible for the direct supervision and line-management of staff. You will be responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical & personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the customers

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • A level of professional development & registration as indicated by purchaser, regulator or Leonard Cheshire Disability (this may include level 5 leadership in health and social care qualification), dependant on location.
  • To have experience of providing direct personal and social care.
  • To have experience of managing a team of support staff.
  • To have experience of working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities.
  • To be able to work flexibly in accordance with rostered hours.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to Leonard Cheshire Disability’s ethos and values.
