Day Care Assistant Weekends

Based at: Seven Oaks Day Care Centre, Crescent Link, Londonderry, BT47 6DN

Hours: 15 Hours per week

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Minimum 6 months experience (within the last 3 years) of providing care/support for older people in a paid or voluntary capacity. 
• Knowledge and understanding of the care and support needs of: People with Dementia (Millbrook, Seven Oaks & Manor Court Day Centre, People with a Learning Disability (Avondale Day Centre).
• NISCC registered/successful registration on appointment - successful candidates will be required to register with NISCC within 2 weeks of receipt of employment offer (where not already registered)*. *Applicants should detail on their application whether they are NISCC registered or specify that they are willing to apply for registration as required.
• Understanding of health & safety issues in a Day Centre setting.
