Day Care Assistant

Based at: Seven Oaks Day Care Centre, Crescent Link, Londonderry, BT47 6DN

Position Reference: DCA.OAK.07

Hours: 20 Hours per week

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 6 months experience (within the last 3 years) of providing care/support for older people in a paid or voluntary capacity.
• Knowledge and understanding of the care and support needs of:
   People with Dementia (Millbrook, Seven Oaks & Manor Court Day Centre) 
   People with a Learning Disability (Avondale Day Centre).
• NISCC registered/successful registration on appointment - successful candidates will be required to register with NISCC within 2 weeks of receipt of employment offer (where not already registered)
• Understanding of health & safety issues in a Day Centre setting.
