OVERALL PURPOSE: Community Support Service supports communities and community organisations using a mentoring approach enabling them to identify need and develop appropriate responses to address substance misuse issues within their communities. Community support worker part time will be based at ASCERT Downpatrick covering Down & Lisburn Area
The service provides information and professional support to community organisations across the South Eastern Trust areas, to improve their skills and help them to respond appropriately to substance misuse issues that affect them. The Service will facilitate communication and relationships between services and communities and will strive to build partnerships.
The service uses a strategic approach, linking to other support resources and strategic bodies to maximise the relevance and impact of the service across the area and locally
