Community Fundraiser, Belfast

The organisation seeks to appoint a highly skilled individual to the position of Community Fundraiser.

This home based role is an integral part of the Fundraising team and the successful applicant will have the drive and enthusiasm to maximise the fundraising potential from the Community and Events sector in Belfast

Salary: Competitive

Duties:

• To manage and maximise Children in Crossfire’s fundraising potential from the Community and Events sector in The Belfast Area
• To achieve fundraising income targets by successfully managing and developing a calendar of community fundraising events and activities
• To establish and develop relationships with local groups, churches and organisations and to recruit participants for local events such as Belfast Marathon
• To manage the income and expenditure budget for the agreed activities
• Work closely with the Finance Management Accountant on all matters of finance and to report to Head of Fundraising on a monthly basis.
• The post-holder must be prepared to travel within Northern Ireland & the border counties as well as work at weekends and in the evenings.

Criteria:

• Experience of organising and managing events
• Evidence of managing set targets
• Experience people management
• Previous paid experience in fundraising
• Previous paid experience in  a customer facing role
