MindWise is a leading membership charity which supports those affected by severe mental illness and other mental health difficulties and promotes early intervention.

Community Bridge Builder– Ref: 15/REC508

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £15,655- £18,095 per annum

Location: Ballycastle and Ballymoney

Permanent contract

The Community Bridge Builders will focus on supporting people to reduce their isolation, become more involved with their local community and as a result become more independent and self-directing. The different components of the service are – providing information and signposting; mental health promotion; self-help; volunteering; and helping form a network of opportunities to engage with and create pathways which will help people move on.

To improve the lives of people with mental illness: -

Through the support planning process, the Community Bridge Building Project will support the service user to access community based activities.
Through clear goal setting with the service user to enable then to recover a meaningful quality of life. These will be time specific, measurable, achievable goals to review and evidence the service users path towards recovery.

By supporting the individual to develop their personal strengths and independence by encouraging them to take part in suitable programmes, training and education.
