Community Based Advisor (LA240)

Mencap is a leading learning disability charity providing an extensive range of high quality services and support to people with a learning disability and their families across Northern Ireland. 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Community Based Advisor to join our team.

Your responsibilities will involve providing access to a wide range of information, advice and support to families of children with a learning disability helping them to address and overcome the issues and difficulties they face. You will build strong positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their engagement whilst helping to promote Mencap.

You will show excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with good knowledge of the legislation that impacts welfare rights, social care and policy and charity law. Ideally you will have experience of working with people with a learning disability and their families.
