ChildLine Volunteer Counsellor

ChildLine Foyle are currently recruiting volunteer Counsellors. If you have a keen interest in supporting children and young people then ChildLine would love to hear from you!
We are a 24/7, free and confidential helpline service for children and young people who need to talk. Volunteers are not there to solve children's problems or tell them what to do. They offer a confidential space to talk through whatever is worrying the young person.
Volunteering with ChildLine for as little as 4.5 hours a week can help thousands of children and young people. We are looking for people who are good listeners, who value and respect young people, are non- judgemental, enthusiastic and reliable. The shifts that we are recruiting to are mostly evenings and weekends.
No previous experience of counselling or working with children is needed, as full training and support is provided. You will gain worthwhile skills and experience of working in a team environment.
For more information contact ChildLine Foyle's Volunteer Coordinator at the supplied email address, or check out the NSPCC website.
ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC, Registered charity numbers 216401 and SCO37717
