Casual Youth Support Worker

Ashton Community Trust wishes to engage casual youth support workers to support the delivery of several programmes for young people.

The programmes are:

New Lodge Arts:

  • Youth Support Workers will support artists in the facilitation of a wide range of arts-based activities with children and young people from across the North Belfast area. 

New Lodge Youth Centre:

  • Family Support Programme: Youth Support Workers will facilitate programmes that provide children and young people with skills that build resilience to  help them deal with the daily challenges and adversities they might face to help them navigate successfully into adolescence. 
  • Outreach/ Detached Youth Provision: Youth Support Workers will engage young people through outreach or detached youth work providing information and encouraging young people to get involved in a specific project, service or activity.  They will meet young people in their own space (on the streets, cafes and parks etc.) and also in schools and in a range of other youth work settings.
  • General Sessional Youth Work Provision: Youth Support Workers will facilitate youth provision outside normal youth centre hours and over closure periods.
