Casual Support Worker

About the role

To make sure we are best placed to grow our services and to reach more people who need our support we have opportunities for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team of Casual Support Workers in Jordanstown, Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and Larne. Our casual/ bank arrangements are very flexible and can fit around your life. We are looking for people with a wide range of shifts available.

Working in our residential unit, education centre or within our community based services your patient support and encouragement will assist individuals who have varying degrees of independence to develop life skills, help with personal care and enable access to social activities including Gateway, Black Moon and wheelchair ice-skating to name a few.

As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your patient support and encouragement will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible.

About you

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.

Our selection process aims to make sure that the role is right for you and you are right for us. It involves completing an online application form, taking part in a value based interview/assessment process and visiting one of our services.
