Dementia Respite Service requires;

Care Workers

  Variable Contracted Hours Available

£6.58 per hour

Office Base: 13 -15 Ravenhill Road, Belfast 

Positions available in the following areas: Ards Peninsula, Bangor, North Down & Ards 

Full training will be provided

Job Purpose:

To support people in the early stages of dementia to enable them to remain in their own homes and enhance their quality of life.

Essential Criteria:

• Paid / unpaid experience in a caring role

• Commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of vulnerable adults

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Access to transport in order to carry out the duties of the post

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of working with people with dementia

• GCSE (or equivalent) standard of education

• Relevant qualification e.g. NVQ in Care

• Knowledge of what dementia is
