Carecall is part of The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health (Niamh).  Carecall (NI) Ltd is a market leader in the provision of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to the business community and employers throughout Ireland and beyond.  We provide counselling services, wellbeing consultancy, mediation, training, critical incident management and other specialist solutions to a broad spectrum of private and public sector organisations.  We are also Northern Ireland’s leading provider of student counselling services, working in partnership with universities, colleges of further education and training providers to support young people to succeed in their studies and training.

We are expanding our services in the Republic of Ireland and are seeking a Business Development Manager who will take responsibility for the overall development, management and performance of sales activities and business growth for Carecall in the Republic of Ireland.

Location: Dublin Area

Fixed term contract for one year (37 hours), Salary Scale €42,336 - €46,492 per annum

Main Purpose of the role

Operating as part of the management team the Business Development Manager will provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. They will have the drive and ambition to see long term growth in this unique sector and the ability to deliver results. Carecall is also Northern Ireland’s leading provider of student counselling services, providing counselling to students in two universities as well as in 5 colleges of further education. This is an important area of our work which requires sensitive integration with existing structures in those organisations.

Essential criteria

Circumstances

  1. Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car.  Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence.
  2. Willingness to travel throughout Ireland and UK.

Qualifications/experience

  1. Third level qualification in a relevant subject.
  2. A proven track record of a minimum of 4 years’ experience of Business Development including sales experience and income generation.
  3. A proven track record in negotiating and managing contract terms or service level agreement.
  4. Extensive experience with customer account management.
  5. Experience in budget monitoring and management.
  6. Proven ability to work to targets and key performance indicators.

Knowledge and Skills

  1. Excellent communicator with the ability to develop relationships to maximise growth.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify business opportunities and close sales.
  3. Proven ability to develop and sustain customer relationships.
  4. Proven ability to manage relationships with a large number of diverse customers.

Desirable Criteria

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Experience of account management for an organisation providing professional, counselling or consultancy services in EAP.
