Associate Tutors

As part of our employment and training programmes NOW delivers a number of training courses to people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to help improve their skills and confidence and to prepare them for employment.  In addition to qualifications in Catering we deliver a range of courses including Confidence Building, Employability, ICT, Customer Care, Money Management, Essential Skills and Career Planning.

Essential Criteria 

* Meet requirements as set out in DEL circular - www.delni.gov.uk/qualifications-required-to-teach-in-further-education-institutions.pdf  

* At least 1 years experience working in a training delivery environment

* Minimum 1 years experience working with people with learning difficulties/disabilities or those experiencing significant barriers to learning

* Experience of assessment and delivering accredited programmes

* Proven presentation skills/IT skills and social media knowledge

* A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.

* Ability to be flexible and adaptable - hours are flexible and may involve evening and weekend work as required.

Additional Desirable Criteria 

* Proven experience of design and development of basic level training programmes

* Experience of preparing learning programmes for accreditation

* Experience of internal and external verification

* Experience of designing and delivering programmes for young people with barriers to learning.
