Key responsibilities and expectations
- Developing CARD Group's standing in Northern Ireland as a 'critical friend' to strategically important organisations
- Responding to requests to tender, producing proposals of exceptional depth and quality
- Managing CARD Group's research team and extending our network of research associates
- Leading complex projects by liaising with clients to provide timely advice and first class service
- Analysing data to produce quality reports based on insight and relevance to client objectives
- Assisting with the development of educational materials to inform clients of CARD Group's research innovations
- Helping to guide CARD Group's strategy and direction through planning and devising new approaches to problems
- Sharing responsibility for your own continuous personal and skills development
- Setting exceptional standards of professionalism for your team to follow
- Other relevant activities as deemed necessary
Person specification - the ideal candidate is likely to have:
- A proven track record in growing networks in the private, public, and voluntary & community sectors
- An understanding of public policy in Northern Ireland and its implications for Councils and the third sector
- Substantial experience in securing new business through responding to tenders and requests for proposals
- Confidence borne from experience in managing complex research projects from conception to successful completion
- Strong statistical abilities enabling the analysis of data to identify insight
- A professional manner that gives clients confidence in your ability to clarify research objectives, communicate progress and present findings
- Strong competence in a range of computer systems, including Microsoft Office packages
- Possessing initiative and a desire to take ownership and accountability to achieve deadlines and targets
- Flexible approach to working hours and ability to travel (we are a family-friendly organisation!)
- Resource planning, to ensure targets are met within allocated budgets
- Ability to multitask on various channels to achieve project targets
- Excellent communication skills, in writing and in person
- Clean, current driving license and access to a car
- A 3rd level qualification
