WAVE, a leading cross community and voluntary organization that provides care and support to those affected by the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland wishes to recruit an Advocacy Liaison Officer.

The successful applicant will have at the time of applying:-

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a subject related to WAVE’s advocacy work for e.g. Law, Politics, Health and Social Care, Social Policy of related area. 

A minimum of 2 year’s cumulative experience of advocating for and on behalf of individuals and families seeking resolution of issues with statutory/government bodies.

An understanding of the key issues surrounding victims and survivors.

Ability to work in partnership with NGO’s and statutory/government bodies.

Other essential and desirable criteria can be found in the person specification. 

The post will be based at 5 Chichester Park South, Belfast, BT15 5DW but the post holder will be expected to travel to our other regional centres.  An attractive remuneration and benefits package is offered to include 23 days annual leave which increases with service, 11 statutory days, 8% employer contribution, external supervision, childcare vouchers and a comprehensive training and induction programme.
