The Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the Ballybeen Community Support worker and Ballybeen Improvement Group (BiG)

Role

  • To carry word processing of letters and reports;
  • Under direction organise, prepare and disseminate information to community organisations in the form of newsletters, fact sheets and other appropriate media;
  • To maintain and develop an accessible filing system for BiG;
  • Contribute to the promotion of BiG by presenting a friendly, professional and efficient “public face”
  • To carry out office reception duties such as answering the phone, taking messages and passing them on and hospitality to visitors;
  • To manage the diary for the meeting/training room within BiG office and provide hospitality services for these meetings;
  • To carry out other duties where the requirements of the BiG demand it, with the agreement of the Line Manager.
  • To manage the finances of BiG and prepare financial reports for return to funders supported by East Belfast Community Development Agency.

 

Time Commitment

The working week consists of 21hrs.  Given the nature of Community Development work and volunteers working within various communities the Administration Officer may be expected to work additional hours from time to time.  Time in lieu will be available for such hours worked.

 

Remuneration

The salary for the duration of the post will be £17,802 (pro rata).

 

Period of Appointment

The Ballybeen Community Support Worker appointment is for 8 months from 1st August 2014 until 30th March 2015.  There is no extension for the post beyond this date.

 

Location

The post holder will be based at the Ballybeen Improvement Group office in the Enler Centre, Ballybeen

 

Holiday Entitlement

29 days holiday per year (pro-rata). (The Agency has compulsory closure during Easter, July and Christmas of which staff must use 3 days holidays for each period)

12 Public/bank holidays
